Recovering

We advise and represent businesses and individuals at all stages of litigation—pre-suit, at trial, and on appeal—regarding matters of corporate fraud, employment, and property.

After spending nearly a decade building experience in the practice at one of the longest-established Dallas law firms, Mitzner LLP is pleased to offer its clients the responsiveness and bespoke level of service available only at a litigation boutique.

Mitzner formed Mitzner LLP to enable a level of client service uninhibited by the inherent inefficiencies of a large firm. The boutique model provides the ideal platform from which Mitzner LLP can capitalize on its’ attorneys’ creative legal thinking while relentlessly pursuing clients’ objectives, both inside and outside the courtroom.

And, by continuing to leverage the latest in technology in an industry historically hesitant to embrace change, Mitzner LLP offers empirically-based strategic guidance rather than the anecdotal decision-making common to the traditional law firm model.

Exemplative Matters

We intend to handle each of our cases with equal persistence, but as each case is unique, none of the results reported above promise or suggest particular future performance.

Jonathan Prickett

Chief Operating Officer

Jonathan Prickett serves as Chief Operating Officer at Mitzner LLP, a premier Dallas litigation boutique focused on high-stakes business and employment disputes. In this role, he drives the firm's operational excellence, supporting its mission to deliver sharp, practical, and client-centered legal strategies that help businesses navigate complex litigation challenges—whether avoiding disputes altogether or positioning them for success when resolution requires trial or appeal.

Jonathan brings over fifteen years of experience helping organizations scale, streamline operations, and build the systems needed to sustain growth. He began his career at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management as a Registered Client Associate, where he supported financial advisor teams, facilitated trades, and produced reporting across a multi-billion-dollar book of business. He went on to oversee operations for a healthcare development firm, where he managed a portfolio of projects valued at over $1 billion, optimized billing and operational workflows that fueled $20 million in organizational growth, and drove the expansion and eventual sale of a freestanding emergency care business. His career has also spanned senior roles in logistics brokerage and media production, where he consistently accelerated growth — increasing revenue, redesigning processes, and building high-performing teams from the ground up.

At Mitzner LLP, Jonathan combines that operational depth with a commitment to the firm's client-first philosophy. He plays a key role in ensuring the team can respond with speed and precision to urgent, high-stakes matters while maintaining the highest standards of trusted counsel and discretion.

Valeria Reynosa

Paralegal

Valeria Reynosa serves as Mitzner LLP’s Litigation Paralegal. Valeria obtained a Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and History from Southern Methodist University, receiving recognition from the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Alpha Theta honor societies. Valeria brings experience from working across a variety of law firms and practice areas.

Beyond her formal work at Mitzner LLP, Valeria volunteers for Dallas CASA, including as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate providing advocacy for abused and neglected children in the foster care system, and also as an elected Young Professional Board member since 2022.

What Clients Want You To Know

Thank you so much for doing a superb job at the [emergency temporary-injunction] depositions. I read them over the last few days and I love the way you got to the real points of the case despite having to listen to so much ‘crap’ from [Plaintiffs]. I appreciate you helping to wrap this up as appropriate… Thank you, thank you, thank you for the awesome work.

— Lender CEO in hotly contested secured property matter

The decision to leave a private equity firm is a difficult one given all of the questions regarding compensation, benefits, the personal and social considerations, and the complicated documentation related to participating in private funds. It was very helpful to have Matt as a counselor to work through all of these considerations, and explain the risks and potential outcomes. His experiences with guiding executives through separations was invaluable.

— Former Client

After I found myself in a completely unexpected, high leverage, combustible situation with my employer; I reached out to Matthew as he came highly recommended to me by a close associate. Matthew was easily accessible for an initial phone call and strategy session. After I retained his services he acted as a candid advisor and counsel, aiding and assisting in rectifying my situation in a timely, seamless fashion.

— kyle S.

Thanks again Matthew for your help. It was a lot like hitting a housefly with a sledgehammer.

— Construction Company CEO about his trial

Our case is extremely complex and Matthew has used a cutting edge approach to our case and along with his aggressive, relentless style has proven successful beyond my expectations.

— Dave S.
